Una mujer y ocho heridos fue el saldo de un aparatoso accidente que tuvo lugar en Loma Hamaca en la comarca Ngäbe Bugle durante el 22 de febrero del 2020.
Aconteció que un auto que transportaba a más de cinco personas, se salió de control precipitándose a un vació, lo que provoco la muerte de una educadora y heridas graves a varios de sus familiares entre los que iba su esposo, con el que llevaba una semana de matrimonio y fue trasladado al hopistal para recibir atención medica de urgencia.
Se conoció que la occisa se llamaba Ilsia Séptimo Rodiguéz de 29 años, quien según las fuentes consultadas era maestra desde hace un año en el centro educativo de Mayo en Kankintu. Y que los afectados viajaban al río para continuar con la celebración de la boda.
Al lugar llegaron unidades del cuerpo de Bomberos, Policía Nacional, y el Ministerio Publico.
